Manolito in the Sanctuary Gardens

Luego de haber visitado esta preciosa [poi=733511] Iglesia Santuario Nuestra Señora de los Remedios [/poi] y sabiendo que el Papa Juan Pablo II había santificado y beatificado numerosos religiosos que fueran víctimas de la persecución religiosa del siglo XX en España, nos acercamos a los jardines del Santuario donde vimos un monolito en Honor al Beato Inocencio de la Inmaculada cuyo nombre de nacimiento fuera Manuel Canoura Arnau. Este Padre Pasionista se dedico a la enseñanza de Filosofía, Teología y Literatura en Mondoñedo y los demás lugares a los que fuera destinado. Varios de estos mártires beatificados y/o santificados por el Papa Juan Pablo II pertenecían a la Congregación Religiosa Juan Bautista de La Salle, colegio en Rosario (Argentina) al que fuera el mayor de mis nietos, debido a ello es que estaba al tanto del hecho y quise conocer el lugar donde estaba el monolito del que me habían hablado. En medio del jardín, rodeado de árboles y arbustos y mirando el valle se encuentra esta pieza artesanal que reproduce las facciones y el hábito de este Padre Pasionista cuyo nombre está dentro de un pergamino, al pie y a la izquierda puede verse 1887-1934, fechas de su nacimiento y muerte.

After visiting this beautiful Church Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies and knowing that Pope John Paul II beatified sanctified and many religious who were victims of religious persecution in Spain twentieth century, we approach the Sanctuary grounds where we saw a monolith in Honor of the Immaculate Blessed Innocent whose birth name was Manuel Canoura Arnau.
