Museum Mile

In the "Museum Mile" in Manhattan, that is to say the stretch of Fifth Avenue between 82nd and 104th streets, you will find several important institutions. First is the Met, aka the Metropolitan Museum of Art, found at the junction of 5th and 82nd, one of the largest museums in the world with a rich collection of works from all periods and continents. The Guggenheim Museum, at 5th and 89th, contains impressionist, modern and contemporary works in a stunning building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Frick Collection, at 5th and 70th, is a private collection of European masterpieces from the fourteenth to nineteenth centuries.

El Museo del Barrio, at 5th and 94th, celebrates Puerto Rican and Latin American culture, while the Jewish Museum at 5th and 92nd has art, religious objects and manuscripts. And there's the International Center of Photography, the Museum of the City of New York...there are plenty of museums for you to choose from, so select the ones that interest you most and enjoy!

Something for everyone

Excellent

Located in the north of Manhattan, the Museum Mile refers to the upper part of 5th Avenue, where you'll find some of the most famous museums in the world. Bordered by Central Park to the right, the Avenue allows visitors to explore dozens of museums: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Yiddish Museum ... In short, there is something here for every taste and every budget, and, even if you don't go into any of the museums, it is a nice walk in an upscale neighborhood.
