Bogota's airport: very busy
Simón Bolívar International Airport, twenty-six kilometers from Caracas, is one of the busiest in Latin America and the most important of Venezuela. I spent a couple of years of my childhood in Caracas, and when I was small I travelled frequently to the U.S. and Colombia ... In those years my memory fails to remember in detail this space, instead I just remember the heat. But since living in Spain, many flights have a layover in Caracas before arriving in Bogota, and waiting after a trip of nine hours feels eternal. In 2007, I travelled with my son to Bogota and had to wait 5 hours in the Simon Bolivar airport.
