Mae Sai
The small Thai town of Mae Sai is the ideal vantage point to look at the so-called Golden Triangle In the area there is a small temple and most importantly, the view that we have of the natural union of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. More than half of opium consumed in the world comes from this area, so that the name comes from what was paid, and the price of gold valued until recently. Fortunately, the founddation, which is chaired by the King of Thailand's mother, is slowly trying to eradicate the crop in favor of sustainable farms.
