Puerto Madryn

The most notable feature of these species is the presence of a huge sexual dimorphism, the highest among all species of mammals. The males can reach up to 6 m or more in length and up to four tons, while the females do not exceed 3 m and 900 kg. The males also have an elongated snout which is kind of like a short trunk. It is for this reason that they have earned the nickname elephant seals.
