The work of the Sher-Dor Madrasah was completed in 1636 and has a superb location just chairing the famous Registan Square (to the east) surrounded by other of the two major madrassas like the [poi = 479 131] Madrassa Ulugbek [/ poi], located just in front and Tilla-Kari Madrassa just right. Personally this madrasa was the second one I liked, as it is completely different from the other two, being decorated with some tigers and lions accompanied by some oriental looking soles, this completely defies the prohibition of Islam to represent living beings.
