1 review of Machrie Moor Stone Circles

Remnants of the Bronze Age

As has become customary, the Scottish islands are very important archaeological sites, especially for settlements such as the Bronze Age. Here the circle of stones marks this place as important to the civilizations of the time, as a place of worship , burials or meeting. Circular positions in antiquity often symbolized the moon or sun. On the Isle of Arran you can find enough of these, on my page is just a small sample ... yes, you have to walk since it's about 1 km walk away and the farthest is about 7 km. It's worth it. It's always nice to see old buildings in such remote locations.
