10 reviews of Lyon Station

3rd largest station

The Gare de Lyon is in the 12th district of Paris, close to the business district of Paris Bercy and Plaza Revolucionaria de la Bastille. It's considered to be the 3rd largest station in the capital (for size and daily passenger traffic). Outside is an imposing clock tower which tells passengers if they are going to miss their train. The station is open from 4 am until 1am or so and it's where you take the train to Fontainebleau and its beautiful castle, high-speed trains go to south eastern France (Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Perpignan, etc.). Also it has the RER commuter train that takes you to Disneyland Paris in half an hour.
