Restaurante Luniega

Restaurante Luniega is located in the center of Leon, close to Avenida Padre Isla and the Gran Via. It offers innovative, modern cuisine based on traditional Leonese products. The dining room is small and always full, so be sure to make a reservation. At lunchtime it's particularly crowded, as they have a great daily menu for just 9.50 or 21.00 euros on Saturdays. You can choose from a selection of 6 starters, 6 mains and desserts. I was surprised by the excellent value - the dishes really are quite well-done for the price. For example, meat-stuffed eggplant gratin, mushroom pasta and squid salad with goat's cheese, walnuts and honey, scallops with cheese sauce, prawn salad, or avocado and Greek yogurt.
