Luang Prabang Typical Boat

In this city there is a boating competition during the festival, "the party of the people". Virtually all young people are involved and it is a great honor for them to be the champions, if only once. Luang Praban is at the mouth of the river kam-kam, a tributary of the great Mekong River. The festivities went on for 15 days and, although I did not stay long enough to see them all, I could see the start where all of the rowers went speeding off, it was great.
