Total Rest
For being a beach in the Machalilla National Park with several species, The Friars is an ideal destination to rest because pets are not allowed, no vendors are permitted on the beach, there is less waste and there are not many people (even on holidays or during the high season). The Friars have trails and a gazebo which is accessed by walking about 20 minutes from where you can see the Pacific at its best. From here you can see the beaches next to Los Frailes, the islets, birds and even the arrival of humpback whales. Previously it cost U.S. $ 2, but now admission is free. It is important to know that on this this beach there are no services like restaurants, the closest is in Machalilla heading north or in Puerto Lopez or Salango in the south, about 15 minutes away.
