Los Fosteritos

The stations of the Bilbao Metro are popularly known as "fosteritos", after their designer, Norman Foster, who has won several awards for his unique designs. The fosteritos have become a tourist attraction in and of themselves, a distinctive, landmark element of Bilbao's urban architecture. Not all these stations have the same style; only those in the city centre, in the district of Eixample, the most famous being in Plaza Moya.
