This lake, modest for what is customary in Scotland, is on Wester Ross, off the A832 road and 4km from Gairloch. With a maximum depth of 26 meters, it's 1.5 km long and 730 wide. The surrounding landscape full of mountains is very beautiful. On the north bank is a crannog (an old Scottish settlement) which is said to be the beginning of the spread of land that the Mackenzies took which reached from Gairloch to Macleods. There is also a fish farm. Beside the road there are a few places to park and admire this beautiful lake.
