Charming drive/walk through scotland
After leaving Loch Ard, the road seems to get much worse, so make sure you drive slowly! This shouldn't be an issue since the surroundings are so beautiful. We entered a forest that nearly envelops everything, at times even in daylight. Basically you go along a rail until it is finished, the rest of the way is on foot, about four minutes after we arrived at the lake, and we were frozen. A group of locals were fishing and chatting by a fire, seemed to smile at our being there to see the lake, which could pass for a Canadian lake, a nation very similar to the Scottish. Standing water on its surface reflect pictures surrounding the lake, all wrapped in pure nature, between trees, springs, and almost anything but human noise, a real hidden wonder, you really should go, but prevent damage and maintain the wild charm.
