Great emblems of the city
Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is one of the great emblems of the city. Situated on Hope Street right across from the Catholic cathedral it is one of the largest cathedrals in Britain. It´s one of the tallest neo-gothic cathedrals in the world. Even though it was built sometime between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, it looks like an ancient cathedral. During the evening, the reddish color that is cast on walls is beautiful. Its located high in the northern part of Liverpool next to a residential area, and can be reached on foot in just over 10 minutes from the shopping area.
