Temple Hung Mieu

Excellent

This temple is similar to the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, estu00e1, which was built to honor Emperor Gia Long's parents. The highlights of this temple include mu00e1s the carved roofs, and the long, paved courtyard where you can access the temple. Another thing that stands out are the mats atenciu00f3n hanging from their doors. Inside your floors include hidrau00falica ceru00e1mica. Due to wars mu00faltiples area in 1947 was dau00f1ado au00f1o completely destroyed by a fire, au00f1o restauru00f3 in 1951 and later on 1990.

Vietnam’s first university

The name comes from the fact that it was the first university in Vietnam. The complex is surrounded by brick walls and has a pond and gardens in the center which were once used for relaxation and mediation by the elite students. The whole place exudes a distinct sense of tranquility and harmony.

The names of the students who attended the university are carved on stone turtles on each side of the temple. They offer food, incense, and symbolic money to a statue of wise Confucius and his helpers, which also adds a mystic touch to the place.

University

Excellent

It was built by King Ly Thanh Tong in 1070 in honor of Confucius and went on to become a place of study and wisdom. It was directed by the Mandarins and local elites in charge of running the country. It was the first university in Vietnam and worked in that capacity for over 700 years (1076-1779). The grounds are fairly large and there are five parks and several buildings, including a temple to Confucius. One of the hallmarks of this temple is the turtles engraved with the 2,313 names of the students who passed their exams.

I loved it!

It’s a gorgeous complex that has been very well-preserved. It has various halls, buildings, and outdoor areas. The 20,000 VDN entry fee is worth it.

Temple of Literature

In April 2007 I went to Hanoi in Vietnam for a month trip. In a capital so loud, I discovered an oasis of peace in the heart of the city: The Temple of Literature, constructed in 1071 by Ly Thai To. Just walking around the complex provokes meditation and contemplation from its visitors. In this picture you can see the celestesy wells of the Khue Van Cac porch.

First you have the El Cedro ravine; its lower part is called Monforte. From there, the ravine passes by the right part of the basin and joins the Liria ravine, forming a valley with great water richness and an important agricultural activity. \n\nWe can say that Hermigua is a paradise for nature lovers, since it has many paths to discover and a great variety of rural houses and hotels. \n","title":"Hermigua Valley","hidden":"0","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","lang_flag":"en","original_content":null,"original_title":null},"User":{"id":"87065","name":"Roberto Gonzalez","username":"robertogonzalez893","has_avatar":"5","suspicious_pois_level":"0","avatar":"https:\/\/avatars.mnstatic.com\/87065_80x80_5.jpg"},"Pictures":[{"id":"3829181","hashcode":"897086037dab0c44a8c7da70cefef47a","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829131","hashcode":"8b170f31e8649c7bd96446a41b618a4a","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829171","hashcode":"fafa297002c0e0b7a8997cc8fe044d4d","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829191","hashcode":"4b799ad29233dac76c763edfc022ce73","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829161","hashcode":"244a1b7cc2a1b3f7b1336b459d562684","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829101","hashcode":"d98e845f18983798837125589fa7778f","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"1425","o_height":"1317","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829221","hashcode":"70d67acd86de8dc5febfdb95b1b111d2","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829241","hashcode":"c487ac864aed02c180ed9a90842d3175","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829121","hashcode":"98d56b6c1c85189d10d353caa15b0cbc","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829151","hashcode":"613e80bb70baaab2451139136c042da9","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829111","hashcode":"19d4b303d53fcce965e9ed1902e20d65","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829211","hashcode":"b405c8d0a9224e275663f90608fa3d00","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829141","hashcode":"c2a98675398eaa99abbe2e2f53caaed0","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829231","hashcode":"9e5c2bd6b739fde79fdc5f740d4f2ddd","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"3872","o_height":"2592","base_color":"65737F"},{"id":"3829201","hashcode":"2b285582c2af5e254b40dcc9cd4ad5ed","post_time":"2011-11-21 17:33:40","o_width":"2592","o_height":"3872","base_color":"65737F"}],"Rating":"5"},{"Comment":{"id":"1576251","total_score":"46","content":"Hermigua is located at about 20 kilometers from the capital of La Gomera, San Sebasti\u00e1n, which means you are already on the other side of the island!
