Lircay Hill
Taking the International Route Pehuench, destination Vilches Altos, takes you along a captivating journey to the National Reserve "Altos de Licay". Along an old farmers route now stands a stretch of 19 km of the Chilean Trail, which begins at the headquarters of the CONAF. On the trail there are paths that lead to the Laguna del Alto, to the brickwork (a mythical site for UFO watchers and a key point of Route Ufological) or to the viewpoint, where the last campsite is located. To reach this point takes about 4 hours by foot and this is the only way to get there. From the viewpoint you can see to the full extent the wonderful view of the volcano "Descabezado Grande", the "Cerro Azul" and Deer Valley.
From this point you can start descending rather steep slopes to reach the river course, going through forest and riverbed to finally arrive at Deer Valley. Here you can enjoy beautiful landscapes with pools of clear waters that come down from the mountain waterfalls, as well as beautiful pools that form in the river Lircay. The route takes about 2 hours from the viewpoint. A sense of adventure and a passion for nature are the key concepts for visitors to the reserve of "Altos de Lircay" - it is hard to forget the immensity of the mountains, the lush forests large, the wildlife and the peace that exist along this trail.
