A friendly people from a small village in Scotland
Linlithgow is a Royal Burgh famous for its palace and church, of great historical significance, but mostly for being the birthplace of Mary Stuart, or Mary Queen of Scots. It is about 30 miles from Edinburgh and Stirling and about 50 miles from Glasgow. It is much more than just a church, as it is a village that almost reached city status by its size and because it has all the facilities needed. On a hill is the palace and church, which is next to a lake that shares its name with the village. Around them the city was developed, with the lovely views and surroundings that we enjoy during our visit.
