This place is also called Torco Lighthouse, and is used to help the ships there find their way. It is of great difficulty for the continuous pounding waves, and to signal the five islands located near the tip of the horn. Lights for the first time in 1863 with an oil lamp, fixed characteristic white and a range of nine miles. On 17 November 1880 the keeper rescued seven shipwrecked Italian ship "Franceschino", who had suffered a leak and sank. White tower nearly forty feet high

The Lighthouse of Punta del Torco de Afuera was built outside the harbor entrance. In 1863 the lighthouse became operational, in 1929 it was electrified and in 1989 the flashlight was renovated. It is a white tower almost forty feet high and is 35 meters above sea level. The old lighthouse keeper's house, which is currently uninhabited, is next to the lighthouse.
