Léon Café

The Lion Café, like the cafe / restaurant Imeri, (now called Aida), is one of the several meeting places that comrises the Historic Center for intellectuals, artists and thinkers. Just a few minutes from Central Park and the Central Market, on 8th Avenue (with an entrance now also in 12th street, unless I'm wrong), the place has the feeling of the 50s, with its ceiling fans and a wooden bar. Obviously, as the name implies, the specialty of the place is the coffee, since the León Café is not only a café but also has been a producer of coffee since the 1930s. Actually can buy bags of coffee to take away.

And for those, like me, ve do not appreciate this drink, there is much more to choose from. There are also croissants and other pastries for eating during a little break in the day! the place closes quite early (around 6pm ). Excellent place for taking a break if you are visiting the historic center!
