Le Petit Hotel is one of the least expensive in Zermatt. It has the disadvantage of being situated on the bank of a stream, so in summer when the water drops very strongly, you can hear it in the rooms. Just ask for a room on the opposite side of the stream. At the reception you can get very good information about the state of the hiking trails.
