Le Marché de L´huitre
If you want to eat oysters in Dijon, this is the perfect place. They prepare the half-dozen or dozen oysters in front of you, like you're eating at a market stall. There are a few tables, but you can ask to take them away too. The classic varieties in France are the Marennes Oléron and the Gillardeau. They also serve other kinds of seafood. My favourite are a sort of sea snail, with white meat, a bit like lobster. The menu costing 17.50 euros is fine as you get 9 oysters, sea snails and shrimp plus dessert. It's enough for a light dinner. If you order a take away, the dozen costs between 7 and 22 euros and they give you an extra dozen after two.
