Pays de la Loire
Laval
Laval is a charming little town in Pays de la Loire. Its old castle is the perfect postcard! It is a building made entirely of stone that shines on the hill overlooking the river. A network of very characteristic medieval alleys invite visitors to spend a day visiting one of the region's special places, with one of the best Naif Art museums in the world with a prominent religious heritage. Take to the streets to discover every corner of the city. It is very rewarding to wander the paths and docks or sail in the Upper River, near the old laundry-boats, to get a different perspective. If you want to know the customs of the inhabitants, take a stroll through the traditional market on a Saturday morning.
