Largo do Dique

Largo do Dique is a pretty central square, next to Praça Manuel Teixeira, on the River Arade. It's also a small port, for here begins the traditional fishing village that was the origin of the city. Also here is the headquarters of the National Republican Guard (GNR) and public parking. If you want to go to the beach you can catch a bus that will take you (via Portimao Marina) that runs every 15 minutes, it's € 1 and during summer it operates until 2 am.
