Laredo Bar

Bar Robles Laredo is in a privileged place in the centre of Seville, in the Plaza de San Francisco, No. 1 on calle Sierpes and overlooking the Giralda.

Previously, it was the legendary Bar Laredo, but it was converted into the establishment it is today after reforms. The cuisine is quite varied, from the cold tapas, meats, and fish to be eaten with beer or wines, to the exquisite pastries to accompany coffee. The bakery can also prepare for take-away.

The legendary Bar Laredo building in Seville is located at the end of the calle Sierpes, on the corner with Plaza de San Francisco.

It was in really poor condition, until a long restoration process was completed in 2002 that allowed it to be reopened, unfortunately not here today (you could try some of the best coffees in the city of Seville).

I went to the Legendary Bar Laredo in Seville in December, now completely changed, much better.

I was amazed by the wonderful recuperation of a place as emblematic as this bar has always been. I remember when I used to pass by this corner time and time again and of the five times I did, four times it was closed.

Before, it didn’t even have a timetable or specific days for opening, and it certainly didn’t invite anyone to enter, not for its decoration, let alone for the treatment by the staff.

Now Seville has gained an establishment with pull that attracts you from the pedestrian avenue. It attracts with its spectacular decor with two dazzling chandeliers that appear when you enter. On a par with any European city. How wonderful it feels to have establishments in Seville of this kind that we can be proud of.

After fifteen days strolling around Seville we found Bar Laredo.

It was four in the afternoon and the heat was tremendous, so we decided to sit down for a drink. Our surprise was that a mist of water came out of the umbrellas and awnings, a "spray" that refreshes you. We were left amazed by it. The truth is that the water was a great help in keeping fresh being that you don’t get wet yet still have the heat alleviated.

Besides the service was great. The waiter who served us behaved perfectly, and his colleagues as well, treating us well.
