This is Montmartre’s oldest cabaret.It had various names over the years (like Cabaret des Assassins) until the artist Andre Gill finally painted a new sign for the cabaret advertising the owner’s culinary specialty, rabbit stew (the name translated to “nimble rabbit”), and the new name was established.
