Lake Travis is a huge reservoir that has both a practical and a recreational purpose. It generates electricity, provides a water supply and flood control, and it also used for water sports. To enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunset over the water, take a break in the complex of bars and restaurants nearby. We wanted a bit of Texas style, so we ordered nachos and margaritas! As a useful tip, always take your ID card with you as bars are very strict about checking for ID.
