Lake Toba

Lake Toba is a small lake that is inside a crater of a volcano on the island of Sumatra. Within this lake there is a small island that is beautiful to rest on for a couple of days if you travel or just selecting Sumatra as a tourist destination because you will explore a small piece of the heart of Sumatra. It is an amazing feeling being on an island within an island. I recoomend to stay at one of the many hotels you can find in the village of Tuk tuk, the island resort. In any hotel or guest house the people there will tell you the best options how to visit the island. There are also some interesting natural hot springs, and small towns where local people match surprises for your kindness and curiosity.
