A good refuge away from the city

N'Gaoundéré is in the Adamawa plateau, at 1,300 m. altitude and was founded by Peul in in the 19th century. Until the arrival of the Peul, Mount Ngaoundéré ("mountain navel") was inhabited by Mboum, a group of hunters and farmers, who were subjugated and displaced by the Peul ... Besides the mountain "navel", inhabited today by baboons, N'Gaoundéré is between many lakes, crater, ancient extinct volcanoes, and Tison Lac is one of the closest to the city, and a good place to get away from the city noise and chaos. It is a good place from which to have an overview of that, and Mount Ngaoundéré. Lake Tison (Tison Lac) is a secluded place, which is accessed by a trail surrounded by greenery, dotted with tropical flowers (I fell in love with a flower whose name I don´t know but it looks like a flame of fire!) and if you go the setting is interesting and there are colorful insects.
