Lake Peté Itza is in the Department of Petén in northern Guatemala. It's a large lake, the second largest after Lake Izabal, and has a beautiful city on the lakeshore. The city, which is called Flores, could previously only be reached by boat, but now there is a road. It has a round shape, there are very few houses on the island, and it is really beautiful to stay there, taking advantage of the delicious restaurant food.
