Lake Peté Itza is in the Department of Petén in northern Guatemala. It's a large lake, the second largest after Lake Izabal, and has a beautiful city on the lakeshore. The city, which is called Flores, could previously only be reached by boat, but now there is a road. It has a round shape, there are very few houses on the island, and it is really beautiful to stay there, taking advantage of the delicious restaurant food. The moon for example, fried fish from the lake, and the tranquility of the village. A tour leaves at 5 am to see the Tikal ruins, a bus agency takes tourists to see the sunrise over the ruins.
