A pleasant walk
Named like most things nearby for the Barony of Mugdock, this is not a big lake, but its waters are clean and clear, and full of trout and carp. The maximum depth is about 27 feet, and the water is usually quite calm. Today it can only be navigated by fishermen with permits, but the walk along its banks is pleasant, following a natural trail between the trees that gives a different view of the lake. Suitable for walkers wanting to do almost 9 miles in a single day.
