An inland sea
Lake Saint Jean is located north of Quebec, west of Saguenay. With its surface of about 1,000 square miles, it truly is an inland sea which, as such, offers a variety of activities. In winter, when I stayed, the lake is completely frozen and becomes a huge snowboarding surface (or even kite-skiing), Snowmobiling, ice fishing (make a hole in ice and go to it!), or a walk in snowshoes. Or you can simply enjoy the scenery!
