A Drink Inside a Monument
For me, this is one of the most charming places in Toledo and I always make a stop there whenever I go back to the city to visit my family.
It is a bar located in an ancient inn that has been completely restored but that has preserved the small details. You can imagine yourself living in a completely different age once you cross its main door into the magnificent patio with stone fountains and wooden balconies.
Afterwards you enter the inn itself where the main bar is. Just looking around is a real pleasure, it’s like having a drink in a monument of touristic interest.
It’s nice to go in the afternoon for a coffee and to have a drink. The atmosphere at this time is familiar or with couples, but when night comes things change: there are three bars and it’s a good party place. I like it both by day and night.
To get there, if you are not familiar with Toledo, is to ask for the San Martín Bridge. About a kilometer from there is the Venta del Alma. It is better to go by car and there are plenty of parking spaces around.
