La Tabacalera

It's great to see old spaces being reused. The historical buildings of the Tabacalera of Logroño are now home to the Parliament of La Rioja, the city library and an exhibition hall. The best way to see how it's changed is inside the Parliament: to visit, ask for an appointment by calling 941 287 728. But maybe the security guard on duty will give you a tour of the ground floor if you ask. And another cool thing: the chimney on Calle Portales, almost rivaling the towers of the cathedral in the skyline. Fascinating.
