La San Juanera è un sentiero che si può percorrere per giungere all'eremo di San Juan de Gaztelugatxe partendo dal ristorante Eneperi, che si trova proprio in cima alla collina di fronte all'eremo. Per arrivare all'eremo che si trova su uno sperone di roccia di fronte alla costa si può anche parcheggiare l'auto più a valle e poi affrontare semplicemente la salita con i suoi innumerevoli gradini fino al monastero.
Percorrere il sentiero invece partendo dal ristorante è sì più faticoso, perché bisogna scendere la collina con un pendio notevole (e poi risalirla!) ma ne vale assolutamente la pena perché i panorami sono magnifici!
Calcolate in tutto, tra andata e ritorno, compresa la salita all'eremo e le soste per guardarvi intorno (e riprendere fiato) circa un'ora e mezza di tempo.
Al ritorno non mancate di fermarvi al ristorante Eneperi per assaggiare le favolose pintxos... questo è un posto da non perdere se passate in questa regione della Spagna, sicuramente uno dei più belli del mio viaggio nei Paesi Baschi.
The San Juanera is a path that can be followed to reach the hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe Eneperi starting from the restaurant, which is located just up the hill in front of the hermitage. To come to the hermitage that sits on a rocky outcrop off the coast you can even park your car further down the valley and then simply address the climb with its countless steps to the monastery. Take the path on the other hand, starting from the restaurant is yes harder, because you have to go down the hill with a significant slope (and then climb it!) But it is absolutely worth it because the views are magnificent! Calculated in all, including round-trip, including the climb to the hermitage and the stops to look around (and breath) about an hour and a half. On the way back do not forget to stop by the restaurant to taste the fabulous pintxos Eneperi ... this is a place not to be missed if you go in this region of Spain, surely one of the most beautiful of my trip in the Basque Country.
