La Riche

The municipality of La Riche is located right next to Tours. In fact, walking from the old town, going toward the botanical garden will lead you almost to La Riche. Therefore, if you plan on staying there and you like to walk, or do not mind taking the bus, it can be a nice place to stay.

La Riche has some curiosities of historic / tourist including Le Plessis Castle, built in the fifteenth century and used as a royal residence. Today it houses the theater company Cano Lopez. It is also the home of the Renaissance poet Ronsard, the Prieuré Saint-Cosme, and for those who want more fun, the swimming pool will be more to your taste!
