Don Rodrigo's Inn
Don Rodrigo's Inn is one of the traditional restaurants in Antigua Guatemala. The food is served "Chapin" style, i.e. in the typical Guatemalan style with Cak Iq, which is a chicken soup with red pepper, roasted meat, which is often eaten on the road to the lake at the Chimaltenango level, where they also serve you. They serve you in the typical dress of the Guatemalan people. On Sundays and holidays, the marimba is playing, a group of 3 or 4 people stay there all afternoon playing traditional Guatemalan music. It's a place that's a bit expensive, but for those who aren't scared to try typical street food, despite being raised with your European standards.
For example you need ice made from filtered water and bottled water, etc. Don Rodrigo's Inn is also a hotel with double and triple rooms from $ 100-110, and it's on the best street in the Old Arch Street. There is another Don Rodrigo Inn in the village of Panajachel, on the shores of Lake Atitlan. The hotel is a typical old colonial house with a beautiful inner courtyard where the restaurant is.
