No hassle, no eccentricities
Living in a big city surrounded by rivers and numerous lagoons, you create a culture quite specific about food, it's like living on the coast as you eat seafood from birth. Here in villahermosa swamp, river seafood is the specialty: Pejelagarto, mojarra, pigua, snail and an occasional tortoise, like the turtle in any thousand specialties. For now, I will comment on an interesting place called La Mojarra Feliz. It is a simple place on the city boardwalk, but on the side of Gaviotas colony. The dynamic is this: You come in, you see the cooler and pick your mojarra depending on how hungry you are, you sit and wait with a cold loggerhead (not sold in halves), you put a coin in the jukebox and listen to your favorite music until your desired dish arrives.
