Very recommendable
The gastronomy of this inn, which has been in its renewed existence for two years, deserves separate mention, since the building dates from the XIX century. The restaurant of the inn is called La Fondica. At weekends, the dining room with a large window looking out onto the Javalambre Mountains is not big enough, and they have to put the late comers in another room normally used as the meeting room of the hotel.
The attention to service is exquisite and very friendly, the décor tasteful, and the food offered on a set menu of €18, with a choice of various dishes and with a Somontano wine in the best taste, is a delight. The vegetable strudel with goat cheese is a success, or the “chupito” of vegetable puree compliments of the house offered at the beginning. Crusty bread, loin staeak with truffles or rabbit with almond sauce and liver are other dishes on offer. The brownie with whole caramelised nuts is a delight for those with a sweet tooth, or the most delicate sweet with Albarracín cheese.
