A church that the police make you see
When crossing Grazalema we passed ahead of this temple. Next to the main square there is parking. It is the place to stop because in the Plaza of Spain police insists everyone must stop there. The Little Square is a nook in the street that crosses the population, about 20 meters from the main square from which you see the outside of the church. It was constructed in the 17th century on a Muslim structure in this area as part of the wall. In the wake of the Napoleonic troops had to be reconstruct it in the 19th century and after the Civil War. For many reconstructions, what is left is only 1 of the chapels.
It has a Latin cross plan with 3 naves, the central taller and wider than the side and covered with vault with transverse arches, the sides are lintels with arches on pillars. The apse is flat front being covered by a barrel vault. The facade is very interesting as it is formed by 2 twin covers Baroque. Lacks altarpiece, the most interesting being inside a series of images of antiquity such as St. Athanasius, sculpted by Amaro Velasquez in the year 1602, the Virgin of Rosario and San Antonio.
