An historic part of London
The café-restaurant La Cubana is behind Waterloo station, in a neighborhood called Lower Marsh, an historic part of London mentioned in ancient accounts since 1377. This street operated as a market and local shopping center until the nineteenth century was recognized as a historic site in 1984 when old buildings started to be preserved - Cubana is installed in one of them. Don't miss it, the front is huge, painted with a girl and other details reminiscent of Cuba. The interior is tastefully decorated with objects and tropical plants. It's open until midnight (1 am on weekends) and is 5 minutes walk from Waterloo Station, take the Lower Marsh exit.
