La Corte de Pelayo Restaurant

I dined at this restaurant in the centre of Oviedo, one of the best known of the city, and the truth is I was delighted. For starters we got a goat’s cheese salad with Iberian ham and it was delicious.

Then my wife ate a bass that I did not try but which looked very nice, and I ate the Cachopo (a type of sandwich made of ham, cheese and asparagus where instead of bread fillets of beef, fish or vegetables are used) that tasted great.

I've eaten here more often and the truth is that one eats very well, and on top of that, you are in the downtown Oviedo.

I have been a customer of this traditional restaurant for some years now, I go often with my wife for lunch or dinner and the truth is that I like it a lot. They have very good meats and the dishes are plentiful. The restaurant is beautiful, it is in the top part and from there you see the whole city centre, the San Francisco Park, Plaza de la Escandalera, the Campoamor Theatre...

Almost everyone form Oviedo has been here before, perhaps the best known of the city.

Traveling with my partner over all of northern Spain, I found it thanks to this page, and the truth is we dined luxuriously. It's a restaurant with an exquisite decor, highly personalized service, constantly friendly waiters. And the food was delicious to me. If in ten days we went to over twenty restaurants, this, certainly, was the best choice.

I went with my family to Asturias in May, I visited this restaurant for the good reviews it had and they were right: it is a wonderful restaurant in a privileged location with beautiful views to the centre of Oviedo, the food is a 10 and the treatment by the waiter’s just right. If I return to Oviedo I will no doubt repeat.
