La Codorniz

I had been working the morning in Tarifa. On a dreary, grey, windy day, I decided to have lunch at the hotel, in the Cordoniz restaurant. In summer we spent a few days in Tarifa, and I remembered how we'd eaten really well at this restaurant, with fresh local fish. The prices were reasonable in summer, for a restaurant with a tablecloth and linen napkins. But what surprised me today was the 16 euro menu for great service and exquisite food, as well as the chance to sit by the fireplace and listen to what sounds like Gloria Estefan playing in the background.
