First house of the lords of the island

Right next to the square that you see as you enter the town there is a small house that is thought to be the place where Christopher Columbus took water for his trip. Inside the construction preserves the old well where it is assumed the admiral made "gouache". It is also known as "Barcelona House", as it was the first house of the lords of the island. From the old "Casa Barcelona" came a new building that would be dedicated to the office, it used to have several uses, and was also the jail. Currently, the site has been reduced to a third. The one-story building is "L-shaped, and in the centre of the cloistered courtyard is a well.

Right now it is home to the Tourist Information Office and has a presentation on the "Discovery of America".
