Kurama Temple

Il Kurama dera è un complesso di templi sul monte fra le vallate di Kurama e Kibune. Il sentiero che collega i due abitati si inerpica sul monte. Da Kibune ci sono ripidi gradini mentre salendo da Kurama c'è un sentiero (e per chi lo vuole una funicolare che fa la prima parte di salita, fino all'ingresso del tempio principale. Il grande complesso però non è la parte più affascinante del percorso lungo il quale si incontrano templi immersi nella foresta, alberi sacri, statue. D'estate è consigliato fare il sentiero partendo da Kurama per arrivare nella boscosa valle di Kibune dove si può mangiare al fresco lungo il fiume (e poi visitare il santuario locale, molto bello). D'inverno conviene arrivare a Kurama, dove c'è un famoso onsen, molto bello. Ideale per un bagno caldo.
