Kljuc, Bosnia y Herzegovina

Kljuc es un pequeño municipio de Bosnia y Herzegovina donde podemos vivir la realidad de un pueblo en ese país. Es un lugar muy tranquilo, con apenas 20.000 habitantes distribuidos en un gran valle. Se sabe que hubieron asentamientos humanos en esta zona antes de la era romana. Fue conquistada por el Imperio Otomano en 1463 y considerada la última fortaleza Real de Bosnia. Otro de los períodos de decadencia de esta ciudad fue durante la guerra entre 1992 y 1995. Según nos contaron, en la actualidad la mayoría de la población eran mujeres por la gran cantidad de hombres que habían muerto durante la misma. En Kljuc no es extraño ver cementerios improvisados por todas partes. Como curiosidad, Kljuc significa "llave" en bosnio.

Kljuc is a small municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina where we can live the reality of a people in that country. It is a very quiet, with just 20,000 inhabitants spread over a large valley. It is known that there were human settlements in the area before the Roman era. It was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in 1463 and considered the last real strength of Bosnia. Another periods of decline of this city was during the war between 1992 and 1995. According to told us, at present the majority of the population were women by the large number of men who died during the same Haban. In Kljuc it is not strange to see makeshift cemeteries everywhere. Curiously, Kljuc means "key" in Bosnian.
