Mt. Batur

Kintamani volcano and Danau volcano are beautiful, and are about 30 minutes to the north of Ubud. They have existed for about 30 thousand years, and provide spectacular views. The villagers here are very friendly, as they are throughout the island. You have to pay some policemen to enter the area, but it's an insignificant amount. Climbing the volcano to admire the sunrise is an amazing experience.
