Culture
The Kennedy Art Center Gallery is located on the banks of the Potomac River near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. The centre opened to the public in September 1971, however, its roots go back to 1958 when President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed bipartisan legislation to create a national centre for culture. To honour Eisenhower's vision, one of the theatres founded was the Kennedy Center for the Arts.
