Kefren Funerary Temples

The mortuary temple of Khafre is east of the pyramid and is better preserved than Khufu. The Temple of Chephren is thinner though almost all statues were stolen, aside from the father's pyramid. There, you can visit parts of a small sanctuary. In the sanctuary there is a patio and a large room with pillars still standing. Few stones preserved hieroglyphs. There was a tunnel connecting the temple with the valley temple, near the Sphinx, measures 500 meters long and was lined with red granite. 23 statues of Khafre were found there.
