Karfiguéla Waterfalls

Karfiguéla can be found near Banfora. Across from vast fields of sugar cane we arrived at Cascades or Karfiguela chutes, which is one of our favorite places to hike and have a picnic, sunbathe and swim. The walk begins in a large pool at the foot of the falls and after a 15 minute of climbing up you'll get to the top. The climb is not difficult because there are steps carved into the rock and it's easy enough if you made sure to have a good snack! The reward you get is that there's a spectacular view of the plateau and a natural spa with jets full of fresh water and small whirlpools. From here you can go up a bit more, splashing along the river so that you can find the perfect place to sit down.
